The
'Nearly Man'
|
Trevor Davis
had a remarkable run this Summer during the Wednesday evening
league - three 2nd's on the trot, two with exactly the
same weight (9lb 10oz).
But even
Trevor has to admit it was not just skill when he landed this
7lb Ghostie after a 15 minute battle. Foul-hooked just five
minutes from the whistle, Trevor was forced to add sections
until, at 16m the carp finally stopped. Not that I bear a
grudge or anything but it did push me down to third place on
the night .....

Always
the bridesmaid but never the bride..

River
Ivel
The
VAC Fisheries Committee are delighted to announce that we now have
one and a half miles of the River Ivel in Bedfordshire and will be
open, to full members only, sometime during September. Early indications
suggest a good head of quality chub with some bream, roach, dace and
gudgeon.

At
this time of writing some of the fine detail is still to be agreed
but maps and other details will be posted on this website later in
August and also sent out to members within the next couple of weeks.

Any articles,
photos and comments would be welcome. With a thousand members
I'm sure some of you must be capable of producing some quality
photos of fish from club waters.

long as no one else submits a picture you'll continue to get
