to Trevor Davis on winning the Summer Evening League with an excellent 222
points out of 240. More
details here.
But whilst Trevor has been bagging many have
struggled as the fish wised up after the excellent result of June. This is
best illustrated by the results for the Riverside Rd pairs when 10lb 8oz
was top out of 34 anglers with plenty of DNW's (did not weigh).
Even Frogmore stayed true to form on a glorious
Thursday evening, the last match in the Summer series, when most struggled
on the pole for a few pounds of bits. Not Dan Patrick though who had three
good carp on floating baits for over 17lb.
It doesn't look 9lb but Dan is
well over six foot !!!

Safety
First @ VAC!

A small number
of VAC waters have power cables crossing or passing close by.
It's previouslly been considered that they are too far away or
too obvious to be a safety threat.
Following enquiries made with the NFA (click
here) the club's general committee have been obliged to
commission professional consultancy on the potential risks.
Safety notices have already been erected at Smallford, Marford
Farm and on the Flit.
In the meantime, until the risks are
fully understood, it may be necessary for some pegs to be
closed and members are asked to respect and understand the
reasoning behind this.

I'm still awaiting submissions
from members for contributions to this web site. Until they
start flooding in you'll have to put up with snaps from my own
collection, taken (if you're interested) with a Kodak DC210+
digital camera.
Any articles, photos and comments
would be welcome. With a thousand members I'm sure some of you
must be capable of producing some quality photos of fish from
club waters.
